{"id":19435,"date":"2025-05-30T12:59:09","date_gmt":"2025-05-30T12:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alliance4universities.eu\/?p=19435"},"modified":"2025-05-30T13:38:47","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T13:38:47","slug":"scientific-excellence-of-the-a4u-with-6-of-the-teaching-and-research-staff-a4u-contributes-more-than-17-of-the-publications-and-receives-more-than-23-of-the-citations-according-to-the-iune-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alliance4universities.eu\/en\/scientific-excellence-of-the-a4u-with-6-of-the-teaching-and-research-staff-a4u-contributes-more-than-17-of-the-publications-and-receives-more-than-23-of-the-citations-according-to-the-iune-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientific excellence of the A4U: with 6% of the teaching and research staff, A4U contributes more than 17% of the publications and receives more than 23% of the citations, according to the IUNE Report."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/47a3d6812d0b6c00bfd3e6ee6\/files\/56904d1d-05e1-88b7-d9bc-355df5639a71\/Informe_A4U_IUNE_2025.01.pdf\">report on the scientific activity of the universities of the 4U Alliance<\/a> has been prepared using data from the IUNE 2025 Observatory, which corresponds to the period of scientific activity 2014-2023.<\/p>\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-read-more\" href=\"https:\/\/alliance4universities.eu\/en\/scientific-excellence-of-the-a4u-with-6-of-the-teaching-and-research-staff-a4u-contributes-more-than-17-of-the-publications-and-receives-more-than-23-of-the-citations-according-to-the-iune-report\/\" target=\"_self\">Read more<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">: Scientific excellence of the A4U: with 6% of the teaching and research staff, A4U contributes more than 17% of the publications and receives more than 23% of the citations, according to the IUNE Report.<\/span><\/a>\n\n\n<p>We highlight the following conclusions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regarding WOS publications (Main collection), A4U makes a large contribution to the Spanish University System (SUE) in all indicators; for example, <strong>with 6% of the faculty it contributes 17.39% of SUE publications and receives 23.59% of citations.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A4U&#8217;s international collaboration is high and growing. In 2023, <strong>59.76% of its publications are in international collaboration<\/strong> (compared to 54.89% of SUE).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In relation to compliance with <strong>open access policies<\/strong>, the AU4 presents a very high level (<strong>74.61%<\/strong>) and a growing trend.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In terms of attracting funding per permanent teaching and research staff, the A4U is highly competitive, with its universities ranking among the top universities in the SUE in both the Spanish R&amp;i Funding Program and in H2020.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/iune.es\/\">IUNE Observatory<\/a> is a good source of information for analyzing the scientific activity of Spanish universities.
